Electrician in Donkerhoek
Electrical repairs, fault finding, DB boards, COCs and backup power in Donkerhoek. Homes and businesses, and the phone is answered 24 hours a day.
Donkerhoek is properly rural, out along the eastern edge of our area. On a plot this far out, when the power goes off, you can be without it for a while, and you need to be able to look after yourself.
Generators are common on properties here, and so are generators connected in ways that are not safe. A proper changeover switch is the single most important thing we fit out here.
Generators connected safely
A generator plugged into a wall socket with a double-ended lead can send power back down the supply line, which can injure someone working on it, and it can be destroyed when the grid comes back. A changeover switch makes it one or the other, never both. If your generator is connected any other way, phone us.
